The 'Boulevard of hand and foot prints of famous people' in Rotterdam was opened in 1990 by Johnny Grant, mayor of Hollywood.
It is situated at the Schiedamsedijk and features the feet and/or handprints of famous people from the worlds of showbusiness and sports. I've chosen to show you and tell you more about the people from the gay world whose feet and/or handsprints are to be found here. And here I mean gay, lesbian or bisexual people and gay icons (people who are not g/l/b themselves but have a large g/l/b following).
De 'Boulevard met hand en voetafdrukken van bekende mensen' in Rotterdam is geopend in 1990 door de burgemeester van Hollywood, Johnny Grant. Hij is gelegen aan de Schiedamsedijk en toon de voeten- en/of handafdrukken van bekende mensen in showbusiness en de sportwereld. Ik heb er voor gekozen je de afdrukken te laten zien van de mensen uit de homowereld die hier gezien kunnen worden. En ik bedoel daarmee de homoseksuele en biseksuele mannen en vrouwen en homo-icons (mensen die niet zelf homo, lesbo of bi zijn, maar wel een grote homo-aanhang hebben).

Dutch TV-host. One of the reasons she's popular with a gay audience is that she presented the Miami-nigthmare night, in which Dutch actors, singers etc. protested against the campaign against gays in the USA.

Dutch singer, who was very popular with the gay audiences. She was born in Leiden as Mary (or Rietje or Maria, according to some sources) Bey. Even though she has a large collection of songs she had sung, there was only one song she wrote herself, which was a protest song against Anita Bryant, called 'Luister, Anita'(Listen, Anita)
