Story: Antonello, a Neapolitan now living in Turin,
is working as a transvestite prostitute going by the name of Rosatigre. His best friend,
Wanda, who works in the same profession as Antonello, to a certain extent represents his
feminine alter ego. The two exchange secrets whilst working on the streets and braving
the dangers of the night; Wanda's romantic and dreamy nature harks back to the young
American with whom she had a long-distance relationship. Antonello, on the other hand,
nurtures a dream of becoming a singer. The camera films him involved with clients, who he
can't do without in his search for love. Finally, forced to face reality, he leaves Turin
for an unknown destination, leaving Wanda all alone.
Verhaal Antonello, een Napolitaan die nu in Turijn woont,
werkt als een prostituee in travestie onder de naam Rosatigre. Zijn beste vriendin, Wanda,
die in het zelfde beroep als Antonello werkt, vertegenwoordigd tot een zekere hoogte zijn
vrouwelijke alter ego. De twee wisselen geheimen uit terwijl op straat werken en de
gevaren van de nacht trotseren; Wanda's romantische en dromerige karakter keert terug naar
de jonge Amerikaan met wie ze een lang relatie op afstand had. Antonello droomt ervan om
zanger te worden. The camera films hem wanneer hij met klanten bezig is, waar hij niet
zonder kan bij zijn zoektocht naar liefde. Als hij uiteindelijk gedwongen is om de
waarheid onder ogen te zien, verlaat hij Turijn met onbekende bestemming, Wanda alleen
achterlatend.
