Story: Based on the novel "The wives of Bath" this film tells the story of three adolescent girls' first love, their discovery of sexual passion, and their search for identities. Mary arrives at Perkin's girls college, a boarding school in Quebec, where Paulie and Victoria are her roommates. Mary finds out the two girls are lovers. Victoria, however, breaks the relationship off, unwilling to risk upsetting her posh, conservative family. Paulie tries in every possible way to save their love. The story ends tragically.
Verhaal: Gebaseerd op de roman "The wives of Bath" verteld deze film het verhaal van de eerste liefde van drie adolescente meisjes, hun ontdekking van seksuele passie en hun zoektocht naar hun identiteit. Mary arriveert bij Perkin's girls college, een kostschool in Quebec, waar Paulie en Victoria haar kamergenoten zijn. Mary komt er achter dat de twee elkaars geliefden zijn. Victoria maakt echter een einde aan de relatie om te voorkomen dat ze haar chicque conservatieve familie schokt. Paulie probeert op alle soorten van manieren hun liefde te redden. Het verhaal eindigt tragisch.
