Story: Charles Price may have grown up with his father in the family shoe business, but he never thought that he would take his father's place. Yet, the untimely death of his father places him in that position, only to learn that Price & Sons Shoes is failing. While in despair at his failed attempts to save the business, Charles has a chance encounter with the flamboyant drag queen cabaret singer, Lola. Her complaints about the inadequate footwear for her work combine with one of Charles' ex-employee's, Lauren, suggestion to change the product to create a desperate chance to save the business; make men's fetish footwear. Lola is convinced to be their foot ware designer and the transition begins. Now this disparate lot must struggle at this unorthodox idea while dealing both the prejudice of the staff, Lola's discomfort in the small town and the selfish manipulation of Charles' greedy fiancé who cannot see the greater good in Charles' dream.
Verhaal: Charles Price mag dan opgegroeid zijn bij zijn vader in het schoenenbedrijf van de familie, maar hij had nooit gedacht dat hij zijn vader's plaats in zou nemen. Maar als zijn vader onverwacht komt te overlijden komt hij toch in die situatie terecht en komt hij er achter dat het slecht gaat met Price & Sons Shoes. Hij doet wanhopige pogingen om de zaak te redden, wanneer Charles toevallig de flamboyante drag queen cabaretzanger(es), Lola, tegen komt. Haar klachten over het slechte schoeisel dat beschikbaar is voor haar werk sluit aan bij de suggestie van een van de ex-werkneemsters van Charles, Lauren, om hun produkten te veranderen om een kans te maken dat het bedrijf overleeft: het maken van vrouwenschoeisel voor mannen. Lola wordt overgehaald om hun ontwerper van het schoeisel te worden en weldra beginnen de veranderingen. Dit bij elkaar geraapte stelletje moet niet alleen dit onorthodoxe idee uitwerken maar ook nog eens opboksen tegen de vooroordelen van de staf, Lola die zich niet thuis voelt in het kleine stadje en de egoïstische manippulatie van Charles' inhalige verloofde die niet de goede zaak ziet in de droom van Charles.
