Story: A pair of clowns perform comic plays, songs, and acrobatic tricks for aristocrats or commoners during the Chosun Dynasty. Jangsaeng possesses a disarming self-confidence and disrespect for authority that seems likely to get him into trouble one day. Konggil plays the woman to Jangsaeng's man in the comic skits they perform. Konggil also possesses a certain self-confidence and grace that turns him into an object of fascination and desire for the pair's aristocratic patrons. After the two arrive in the capital Seoul (or Hanyang, as it is called at the time), the entrepreneurial Jangseung hits upon the idea of performing a skit that satirizes King Yeonsan and his famous concubine Nok-su. The somewhat lewd and hilarious parody brings them quick fame and piles of cash, but before long it lands them in chains at the feet of the king himself.
Verhaal: Een stel clowns brengen komische toneelstukken, liedjes en acrobatische trucs voor aristocraten of burgers tijdens de Chosun dynastie. Jangsaeng bezit een ontwapenende zelfverzekerdheid en disrespect voor autoriteit die hem op een dag in moeilijkheden moet brengen. Konggil speelt de vrouw tegenover de man die Jangsaeng speelt in de komische schertsen die ze opvoeren. Konggil bezit ook een zekere zelfverzekerdheid en gratie die hem maakt tot een object van fascinatie en verlangen voor de aristocratische beschermheren van het paar. Nadat de twee in de hoofdstad Seoul aankomen (of Hanyang, zoals het in die dagen heette), krijgt Jangseung het idee om een sketch op te voeren die een satire is op Koning Yeonsan en zijn beroemde concubine Nok-su. De ietwat schunnige en hilarische parodie brengt hen snelle roem en stapels geld, maar brengt hen uiteindelijk in boeien aan de voeten van de koning zelf.
