Story: Documentary from the Dutch director Ali Karacabay, in which he visits the village in Turkey where he was born. In the village homosexuality supposedly doesn't exist. At first Ali contacted his father, who didn't want to see Ali any more after his coming-out. Father moved to the Netherlands in the sixties to work there. In 1970 his parents divorced and Ali moved to his father and stepmother, father girlfriend. Father didn't allow Ali to see his mother anymore. During the making of this documentary Ali found out what the reason for divorce had been and what was the role of sexuality. At the end of the documentary Ali comes out to his sisters, who he hasn't seen for sixteen years.
Verhaal: Documentaire van de Nederlandse regisseur Ali Karacabay, waarin hij zijn geboortedorp in Turkije bezoekt. In het dorp bestaat homoseksualiteit zogenaamd niet. Ali zoekt eerst contact met zijn vader, die hem niet meer wilde zien na zijn coming-out. Vader verhuisde in de zestiger jaren naar Nederland om hier te werken. Zijn ouders scheidden in 1970 en Ali verhuisde naar zijn vader en zijn stiefmoeder, de vriendin van vader. Zijn moeder mocht Ali van zijn vader niet meer zien. Tijdens het maken van deze documentaire kwam Ali er achter wat de reden van de scheiding was geweest en welke rol seksualiteit daarbij heeft gespeeld. Aan het eind van de documentaire onthult Ali zijn homoseksualiteit aan zijn zussen, die hij zestien jaar niet meer gezien heeft.
