Story: Comedy about a group of gay friends in West Hollywood. Dennis, a
promising photographer, prepares to celebrate his twenty-eighth birthday. About his
gang of friends he wonders: ' I can't decide if my friends are the best or worse thing
that ever happened to me.' His friends are Benji, the punkish innocent with a penchant
for gym bodies; Howie, the psychology grad student who thinks too much and lives too
little; Cole (played by 'Superman' Dean Cain), the charismatic actor who accidentally
keeps stealing everybody's guy; Patrick, the cynical quipster, and Taylor, resident
drama queen, who, until recently, prided himself on his long-term relationship.
Providing sage advice and steady work is Jack (played by John Mahoney, who was Frasier's
father in 'Frasier'), the beloved patriarch whose restaurant is a haven for them all.
New is Kevin, Cole's latest abandoned conquest and a young man who is not quite out of
the closet.
When tragedy strikes the group, the friendships are put to the test.
Verhaal: Komedie over een groep homoseksuele vrienden in West-Hollywood.
Dennis, een veelbelovend fotograaf, bereidt zijn 28e verjaardag voor. Hij vraagt zich af
over zijn vrienden of zij het beste zijn wat hem is overkomen of het slechtste. Zijn
vrienden zijn Benji, een onschuldige punkertje met een voorliefde voor getrainde
lichamen; Howie, de psychologiestudent die te veel denkt en te weinig leeft; Cole
(gespeeld door 'Superman' Dean Cain), de charismatische akteur die per ongeluk steeds
ieders vriendje blijft afpakken; Patrick, de cynische grappenmaker en Taylor,
drama queen, die, tot voor kort, trots was op zijn lang durende relatie.
Jack (gespeeld door John Mahoney, die Frasier's vader speelde in Frasier) zorgt voor
wijs advies en vast werk als geliefd patriarch wiens restaurant voor allen een
toevluchtsoord is.
Als de groep een tragedie ontmoet, wordt de vriendschap op de proef genomen.
